Scott Belsky
As the Founder and Editor of Behance, Scott is focused on the actionable nature and diversity of Behance’s content as well as the development of products, knowledge, and services for the creative community.
Prior to founding Behance, Scott helped grow the Pine Street Leadership Development Initiative at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Scott is also the founder and Chair of an international leadership development network and serves on the Board of Cornell University’s Entrepreneurship Program. From his years working with leaders and entrepreneurs, Scott became fascinated with the specific challenges that creative professionals face. He believes that the greatest breakthroughs across all industries are a result of creative people that are especially productive.
In 2001, Scott started writing about “Productive Creativity.” He took every opportunity to interview creative professionals and examine leadership and productivity in the context of creative work. His interests led to a few research projects at Cornell University and ultimately the desire to “boost productivity in the creative community.” He has also spoken on the topic in a number of settings, sharing tips and insights for creative teams (see Behance on ABC News and MSNBC).
Scott’s education is in design, environmental economics, and business. His creative realms are writing, entrepreneurship, and all things confectionary. He also hopes to increase productivity in the nonprofit world through his involvement on various nonprofit and foundation boards.
